Artist Profile #13 - Robert Frank

Robert Frank was an American photographer and documentary filmmaker. In 1959, he published a photo essay called "The Americans" which was extremely controversial. Everyone expected it to be a bright photo essay on the life of Americans, but it showed a much more gruesome and realistic view of the American life. He then began to make films, and his first one called "Pull my Daisy" was incredible and well received, but all of his films created after that were not well received.
